For our client, Theodora Wine Bar in Motovun, we’re looking for a Junior Chef (m/f) who enjoys working with quality ingredients and small, well‑crafted menus. The concept combines a relaxed breakfast service with a creative evening menu, making it a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow, take ownership in the kitchen, and be part of a friendly, boutique team.

Seasonal position with the possibility of a permanent contract

Responsibilities

·       Morning: Simple, high-quality breakfast menu

·       Evening: Fine dining / gastro menu (primary creative focus)

·       Execute, and regularly rotate a concise fine dining evening menu

·       Prepare and maintain a simple, efficient breakfast menu

·       Control food costs, minimize waste, and optimize product usage

·       Organize kitchen operations trough shift

·       Prepare simple, nutritious staff meals

·       Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

Requirements

·       Proven experience in fine dining or high-end gastro concepts (2-3y)

·       Experience working with small menus and high product quality

·       Solid understanding of cost control and kitchen organization

·       Ability to work independently and take ownership of the kitchen

·       English language proficiency is required (B2)

·       A valid sanitary booklet is mandatory and must be presented upon arrival

Other notes

Working Hours:

·       9:00 AM - 10:00 PM (two shifts per day)

·       1 day off/per week (excluding July and August)

·       Weekend and public holidays work required

·       Overtime and special hours are compensated with vacation time during the annual closure period (January–March)
